The Space:
LIVING AREA
The living area is bright and welcoming. A tall window floods the space with light and there is an airy feel from the high ceilings and crisp white walls. The room features comfy seating in the form of two sofas. The ideal space for relaxing, Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat will certainly feel like a home from home.

KITCHEN
With grey wooden cabinets and white brick style white tiles, the kitchen has a clean and fresh look. You’ll have everything you could need for your self-catering stay by the seaside as Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat boasts a kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, hob, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine.

DINING AREA
The dining area comes in the form of a dining table with four stools. Ideal for socialising whilst cooking or preparing drinks, as well as relaxing on a morning with a coffee, this space is a nice addition to the open plan kitchen and dining area.

BEDROOM
Head to the first bedroom and you’ll find a cosy, welcoming space. With a high ceiling and homely furnishings, it has a really warming feel. You’ll enjoy your nights sleep as the comfy double bed boasts premium bedding and linens. There is a rail to hang your clothes up during your stay and matching bedside tables, as well as a dressing table for any other storage.

The second bedroom has a beamed ceiling, adding plenty of character. Just above the double bed, there is a skylight window in the sloping ceiling so you can watch the stars above. White wooden furniture and lamps add to the homely feel in this room which also boasts a single bed.

The third bedroom in Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat has a comfy single bed, so the property is ideal for individuals wanting some independence during their stay.

All beds at Apartment 2 @ Pete's Retreat boast top of the range Emma mattresses to ensure that you have a great night's sleep.

Both of the single beds in the apartment also have pullout single beds, increasing the occupancy to eight. Please get in touch with our friendly team prior to your stay if you would like these beds to be made up.

BATHROOM
Inside the apartment there is also a modern and clean bathroom. Featuring a bathtub with overhead shower, WC and basin, as well as textured tiles and a window, this space is truly lovely.

Pete’s Retreat is home to five separate apartments along Ruby Street with a maximum capacity of 20. If you are looking for a stay for a large group there are often opportunities to rent all five apartments together. Please send us an email with your preferred dates for availability and prices.

Host & Stay are committed to our owners that their homes are protected during bookings. For this reason, we require all of our guests to transfer a £250.00 Damage Deposit (subject to a £10.00 administration charge) or, to purchase an Accidental Damage Waiver for £25.00 which will cover you for up to £500.00 of accidental damage during your stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full apartment. The keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.

Free on street parking is available outside the property and on the surrounding streets, no permit is required.

The Neighborhood:
Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat is located in the charming Victorian Spa town of Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.

Located in the heart of the town, the apartment is only a short walk from the beach and lower promenade. Take the oldest functioning cliff lift in the UK down to the promenade and you’ll arrive at the 208-metre pier which stretches out into the sea. The long sandy shores are overlooked by colourful boutique beach huts and high cliffs tower in the distance.

Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat is close to all local amenities including independent shops, bars, restaurants and bistros.

Saltburn has plenty of beautiful walks too. The Valley Gardens are a maze of paths and tracks which wind through the flowers and woodland. If you want to explore further, The Cleveland Way National Trail is over 100 miles long and Saltburn is included. If you fancy a 17.5 mile jaunt, start at Saltburn and walk your way to Sandsend. This walk is a great way to explore the North Yorkshire coastline and the views are beautiful!

Getting Around:
Apartment 2 @ Pete’s Retreat is within walking distance of all that Saltburn has to offer and within 30 minutes’ drive time of Staithes, Whitby, Middlesbrough and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Saltburn Train Station is a short walk away and has routes to Longbeck, Redcar, Middlesbrough and Darlington with connecting trains to Newcastle, York, Leeds, Manchester and London.

There are plenty of bus routes throughout Saltburn. Hop on the Arriva North East route and you can visit beautiful coastal villages like Staithes, Runswick Bay and Whitby. The Moorsbus route has drop offs at Newton Under Roseberry, Great Ayton, Stokesley and Helmsley.
