Located on the edge of the small rural hamlet of Alverstone, the cottage sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with picturesque walking and cycling routes on the doorstep. Less than three miles away, Sandown boasts wonderful sandy beaches and lively entertainment together with a popular golf course. A little closer to home, the village of Newchurch is within walking distance and offers a good public house for enjoying a hearty meal out.
Recently converted from a barn, this cottage features charming exposed beams, old wooden floorboards and plenty of natural light throughout. The small yet well-equipped modern kitchen containing an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with small freezer compartment and a dishwasher, everything you should need for preparing delicious meals, which can later be enjoyed at the modern table beside the window. A washing machine and tumble dryer are also provided in the cottage. The lounge is a light and airy room with a heated tiled floor, exposed beams, comfortable leather sofa and French doors opening onto the garden. There is a wood burner in the corner for those relaxing evenings in front of the Smart TV. Also, on the ground floor is a wet room with a shower and WC. Upstairs there are two attractive bedrooms, one spacious double with views across the fields and one compact twin, which is perfect for children. There is also a bright and modern bathroom with Velux-style window.
Outside, a patio area with table and chairs overlooks the pretty paddocks and pond beyond. This is a pleasant space for enjoying BBQs while watching the wildlife on the water. There is also space to store bicycles.
