Just 5.5 miles away is Hartland Quay with its stunning coastal walks along the South West Coast Path. The seaside village of Westward Ho! (11.5 miles) is a popular place for water sports, including surfing and paddleboarding or just for a walk along the 2-mile expanse of golden sands. Discover the Tarka Trail; 180 miles of off-road cycling, with various tearooms and pubs along the way. Other places of interest and certainly worth the visit include Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor, both within 15 miles.
