It’s also a great place from which to join the beautiful trails over Winnats Pass (2.5 miles) and Mam Tor (3 miles) or to explore Peveril Castle, which sits high above the village. Alternatively, head to Padley Gorge (8 miles) to hike among its streams, boulders and waterfalls. Or head underground at Speedwell Cavern (2 miles) to climb aboard a boat and cruise through the historic lead mining tunnels. Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Caverns all also within 3 miles.
