For exploring further afield, Branscombe, 11 miles, charms with its thatched cottages, working forge and watermill, while West Bay and Bridport, 11 miles, are fantastic for dramatic cliffs, beaches and a lively market town atmosphere with a quirky antiques quarter. Nearby Seaton, 7.5 miles, is home to bird-rich wetlands where you might spot waders and songbirds, and Beer, 9.5 miles, is famous for its beach and miniature train pecorama.
