After a potter amongst its attractive, narrow streets, enjoy a stroll along the picturesque River Deben or a hike through the surrounding countryside. The town hosts regular markets in the Square, including a popular farmers’ market and antique fair – the perfect place to pick up a little souvenir from your travels. For a traditional day at the seaside, head to the pretty coastal town of Aldeburgh (18 miles), which boasts a wide sand and shingle beach.
