Found on a quiet residential side street, and with a walled south-facing garden, this cottage is perfect for two couples or a small family to enjoy this beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Enter via the garden into a delightful country cottage-style kitchen/dining room, which has a large walk-in pantry. It enjoys lovely views over the garden, and the kitchen is well appointed, offering a host of modern appliances and oodles of worktop space from where you can prepare a delicious picnic to enjoy whilst out exploring, or a rustle up a delicious home-cooked evening meal. A farmhouse-style kitchen table sits to one side and provides plenty of seating for four. The comfortably furnished living room, with its open fire, provides a warm and cosy space to come together in the evening and enjoy some quality time together. There is also a ground floor toilet for your convenience. Take the cottage stairs to the first floor and find two charming bedrooms. There is a kingsize bedroom with an original fireplace and sink, and also a cosy twin room which features an exposed wooden floor. This room has sloping ceilings and lovely views across the local tennis courts. Both rooms are decorated in pretty pastel tones and offer lovely soft furnishings. Across the hall is the house bathroom. Outside to the rear is a lovely walled, south-facing garden where guests can sit and enjoy the sunshine during the warmer summer months.
With a weekly market, the friendly and bustling town of Malton is right on the doorstep and offers excellent amenities, with local inns, tea rooms, restaurants, art galleries and a superb renowned local butcher. Walkers and cyclists will find a good network of footpaths and quiet country lanes, whilst those less mobile will be delighted exploring the many nearby attractions, including the stately home of Castle Howard, Eden Camp War Museum, Flamingo Land and the popular seaside resorts of Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey. In under an hour you can be exploring the walled city of York with its iconic minster or take in some sea air in Scarborough or Whitby.
