Weaver’s Cottage is a detached, traditional Hebridean house offering the most comfortable of stays whilst visiting this beautiful island. The owner has taken extra care to create a property that is contemporary, with lots of natural light and the ideal space in which to relax and switch off during your stay. As you enter the living area is on the left with TV, a decorative electric fire to cosy up in front after a busy day out and about The Snug is on the right ideal for reading or listening to music, there is also a good selection of games. Leading on from the living room is the beautiful, fully equipped kitchen with an island unit, and there is also a conservatory where you can dine or simply relax. There is a toilet and utility area to the rear of the property. Upstairs are the two bedrooms, one king size bed, and a further bedroom with a small double bed. The beautiful bathroom suite comes with a stand-alone bath and a walk-in shower and beautiful views out to the sea. There is a decking area outside at the rear of the property equipped with garden furniture perfect for al fresco dining.
Lewis forms the north part of the island. Stornoway offers a wide selection of shops, restaurants, pubs, golf, and in the centre is the impressive Lews Castle with fabulous woodland grounds and many walks. You won’t be short of beaches to visit with the nearest sandy beach of Tolsta just 20 minutes’ walk away, and the premier beaches Garry and Traigh Mhor just a few minutes’ drive away. Enjoy days out visiting historical sites such as the Callanish Stones, Carloway Broch, Ness Heritage Centre, Bosta and Great Bernera, and Blackhouse village, or enjoy the pristine sandy beaches on the west coast, including Uig Bay where the famous Lewis Chessmen were found.
