A traditional two-storey, stone-built cottage in the heart of Fowey, less than 300 metres from the delightful harbour, is ideal for a family or friends looking for a relaxing holiday on the Cornish coast. Fowey is a feast for the eyes, with its multicoloured cottages perched on the hillsides leading down to the sea where local restaurants serve up dishes from the delicious local produce.
This lovely cottage retains original features such as the dining area’s exposed stone walls and bends them beautifully with a bright contemporary feel and decor. On the ground floor is the living/kitchen and dining area. The lounge has comfortable sofas, a TV and an electric fire and is the perfect place to socialise and play games. The contemporary kitchen is equipped with all you need to cook up a storm. On the first-floor landing, you will find a useful workspace, a bathroom and three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one single. Outside is an enclosed southerly-facing garden to the rear with a terrace, wooden gazebo, lawned area and range of outdoor seating options. This makes it a perfect spot for dining alfresco and a safe space for children and pets to play.
If you’re a fan of Daphne du Maurier, visit the Literary Centre in Fowey, which provides information and exhibits about the author and her life and work. In August the town holds its famous Fowey Royal Regatta. Fowey lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and there are plenty of natural attractions nearby to enjoy.
