Flanked by sand dunes and woodland, this magnificent bay was once branded 'the most beautiful in Britain' by The Travel Magazine. It's dog-friendly all year round and by facing south east, the waters are particularly calm. It's also well served with a car park, a small store, fish and chip shop and tea room. There are toilet's plus a hotel aptly named the Oxwich Bay at one end serving lunches and dinner, and a stylish restaurant 'The Beach House' under the new ownership of some well-respected local restaurateurs. During high season a water sports club operates from the beach with everything from doughnut rides to windsurfing and sailing - there's even a water taxi for those wishing to venture further. And there are plenty of walks too, across woodland or to other amazing bays including Port Eynon and neighbouring Tor Bay and Three Cliffs.
