Sleeping up to six guests, across three bedrooms and two bathrooms, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing stay, along with a welcoming hot tub on the outside deck to ensure you enjoy complete relaxation whilst you enjoy the views of this tranquil area. With flat screen TV, DVD player, two sofas and an armchair, along with dining table and six chairs, you'll all have plenty of space to socialise and perhaps enjoy a board game or watch a film.Well behaved dogs are welcome at Limefitt Lodge. Limefitt Park is in a stunningly secluded location in the Troutbeck Valley, on the A592 out of Windermere, but only four miles away from the busy village. Here you'll enjoy nature and lovely views, and the Trout Beck running through the park. There's a dog-friendly pub on site, a small shop and children's playground. From here you can walk through the fields to the fabulous pub The Queens Head, and round the corner to the Mortal Man, both traditional old pubs with log fires and a warm welcome. Carry up over the spectacular Kirkstone Pass, then drop down and you'll see Brotherswater – around seven miles from the Park. Continue toward the beautiful Ullswater and the hamlet of Glenridding for more great pubs, shops, Ullswater Steamers and amazing walks. Here you can start the ascent of Helvellyn, or the Ullswater Way which now goes all the way round this beautiful lake.
The twin towns of Bowness and Windermere are both vibrant, fun-filled places set within the splendid scenery of the Lake District. Both towns provide a range of amenities, shops and restaurants to suit all tastes whilst Ambleside offers the additional attraction of a boat ride to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawrey. Grizedale Forest Park is within easy driving distance and is home to a range of activities including many good walks, mountain biking and the 'Go Ape' adventure park. The region also boasts many National Trust properties as well as a variety of water sports for those who prefer a more adrenaline-fuelled trip. Children will enjoy a trip to the 'World of Beatrix Potter' in Bowness whilst the villages of Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains are all within easy reach.
