There are a range of activities on your doorstep, the Rheged Centre with cafes, galleries and shops is a 5 minute drive, Dalemain House and Gardens and the Alpaca Centre are 15 minutes drive and Lake Ullswater itself with lake cruise and watersports is 10 minutes away.
The outdoor enthusiast can enjoy an abundance of walks from the door with woodlands, Great Mell Fell leading to Aira Force and the Caldbeck Fells all within easy reach of your holiday retreat. The coast 2 coast cycle route passes the door and watersports on Lake Ullswater are within a 10 minute drive. The detached cottage, once the gatehouse to the estate is surrounded by rolling pastures and sits in its own grounds with views to Little Mell Fell. Recently modernised the traditional features blend seamlessly with modern day comforts, yet retain its original charm and character.
The oil centrally heated accommodation comprises: Sitting room with comfy sofas around the wood burning stove, smart TV and DVD player. Snug/reading room. Dining/kitchen with electric oven and hob, Nespresso coffee machine and dishwasher. Utility room with washing machine and fridge/freezer. Boot room with tumble dryer. Step up to a double bedroom with super king size bed (can convert to twin beds on request) and en-suite bathroom.
