Situated only 2 miles from the glorious market town of Beverley with its cobbled streets and historic sites including Beverley Minster the location for many film sets. The town has a vast array of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops.
Just a few minutes away from Walkington can be found the outstanding beauty of Beverley Westwood with its many walks. You can also enjoy a day at the races with the Westwood containing Beverley Racecourse and its 18 meetings throughout the year. The Westwood also has its own Golf Course too. Only a two minute drive from the cottage.
Walkington itself is a small picturesque village with its lovely duck pond. The village has three welcoming pubs as well as a local shop and post office.
The area is on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds and is the ideal location for many attractions, including Hull , the recent City of Culture. York with its historical sites, Leeds for shopping and nightlife and finally the beautiful Yorkshire coast with its many towns and beaches
