This charming traditional ragstone cottage is tucked away from the road and sits in a row of five cottages built for workmen some 200 years ago. Claire's Cottage has been lovingly restored and the decor and furnishings offer many homely touches and comforts to make your stay relaxing, including the wood burning stove in the living room. There is an enclosed cottage style garden which has been beautifully planted and is a real suntrap where you can enjoy eating out in the warm summer months. The property sits in a quiet spot, on the edge of Saltwood village above the town of Hythe and is just a 20 minute walk down to the main street with all the independent shops and restaurants. Hythe Bay has a stunning wide sweeping shingle beach with an esplanade where you can take a walk, or sip a drink and enjoy the sea air whilst watching the many water sports, from Kitesurfers to kayaking and paddle boarders. Why not join in yourself and pack your surf board! If you prefer something more sedate head for the Royal Military canal where you can hire a little rowing boat and while away the time messing about on the river.
