The space
Keeper's Lodge is accessed via six steps up to the front door on the front of Brackenthwaite Road - an old country road that predates the nearby A6. Parking is to the side of the property and for the sole us of visitors and any of their guests. The lodge itself is an apartment style all being on one level.
Alongside the space for parking is a private garden area that can be enclosed using the gate. During warmer months, there is outdoor seating and a barbecue for use, and incredible views over Farleton Knott.
Upon entering the property, the main living space, kitchen and dining area is to your right. The Twin bedroom is on your left and the Wet Room (no bath) and Master Bedroom to the rear and left.
The open-plan layout of the property makes for a perfect socialising area or place to keep an eye over young children playing while preparing food in the kitchen. There is a TV with Netflix included, and an electric real-look fire for extra warmth should it be required.
Each bedroom has wardrobe storage and high levels of comfort.
The Wet Room makes for easy showering for those who may struggle with mobility, and is tastefully modern in appearance.
The Keeper's Lodge is all on one level once inside the property.
Guest access
Guests have access to the side of the property for parking and for their personal use. Please note that other vehicles may need to pass through this space to access other parts of the farm at times.
This holiday property is set on a former farm, now smallholding, of 9 acres, and this land is available for recreational use including for exercising dogs. Please note that there are some hens and ducks onsite and dogs may need to be controlled on a lead until in the enclosed fields / play areas.
Other things to note
The hens and ducks are housed close by to this property and like to sunbathe in the garden area dedicated to this property. They can access/exit the space themselves so if you are to have your dog/s loose and they may torment the poultry, please allow them time to exit before letting your pet/s free.
