Nestled away in a picturesque corner of the Lake District, cosy Church House Cottage can accommodate up to five guests over three bedrooms. Well equipped with homely touches, the cottage is situated in the Duddon Valley, a delight for walkers, mountain bikers, climbers, nature lovers and those who enjoy the peace and beauty of the countryside.
A beautiful home from home, dating back to 1706. With original beams, the property has been lovingly renovated to provide a cosy family-friendly retreat to create those special family memories with loved ones.
Upstairs you will find three bedrooms: one double bedroom, a twin room and a third single bedroom. There is a shower room with shower, W.C bidet and wash basin. Downstairs features a lounge with dining area, a fully fitted kitchen with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Down a passage to the rear is a separate W.C bathroom and utility area with washing machine and tumble dryer. Enjoy a relaxing evening in the lounge in front of the log burner after a day of exploring the delights of the area. Wi-Fi and TV and DVD are there for your entertainment.
A games room is adjacent to, and shared with, Church House. This includes table tennis, table football, and a pool table.

This beautiful area is home to abundant wildlife including buzzards, Ravens, Peregrines and deer. The Duddon valley described as ‘the jewel in the Crown of Cumbria’ is remote, unspoilt and perhaps the most charming valley in the Lake District. Easily accessible from the valley are Dow Crag, Harter Fell, Greyfriar and Caw. Plenty of less challenging fell walks take in tarns, waterfalls, lower peaks and crags which offer stunning views. Those who prefer shorter, more leisurely walks can follow footpaths through woods, across farmland and along the river. There really is something for everyone.
Seathwaite, 3 miles up the valley boasts the 16th century Newfield Inn where good home-cooked food, real ales and a warm welcome await all day, all year.
