Summary: I booked a room without a window. And somehow that meant a room without ventilation, as there wasn't even a functional mechanical vent in the bathroom (imagine the mold building up there..). So when I opened the door to the room, I was met with a wall of dead air, making it difficult to breathe. So I decided to just keep the door open for a bit to get some better air in from the corridor. This caused the receptionist to rush up to my room and inform me that the room door is a fire door and must be kept shut at all times. Asking how I could get some fresh air in the room as it was so stuffed, I was met with a 'not my problem' kind of attitude. That was very disappointing and of course severely affected a good night sleep. What also affected a good night sleep was the noise from the construction works inside the building, starting very early, and the mattress being very filthy, with all kinds of stains on it. I probably won't stay here again, unless i have no other choice. ps. the room was pretty worn and looked nothing like the pictures here.
