For golfers and historians, access to the 18th green/fairway and 1st tee of the Old Course, plus the Royal and Ancient Golf Club clubhouse are just 100 yards away via rear courtyard access and with the sea and beaches beyond. The sea, castle and cathedral ruins, shops, pubs, churches and fantastic restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk. The Rusacks Hotel (which front Pilmour Links and the 18th fairway of the Old Course) is just a few doors down and the Dunvegan a few doors up.

For clay pigeon shooting and archery, enthusiasts should visit Cluny Clays near Kirkcaldy which is Fife’s largest outdoor activity venue.
