## Space Welcome to my home in London! I have lovingly decorated my home and this is my cocoon in the city. I am looking forward to having guests who will look after this home as if its their own :) The flat has a fabulous location - the closest tube station is Gloucester Road and its about 5 mins walk away. My flat is located on a quiet street with graceful white stucco fronted homes. There are lovely green squares nearby and the whole area has an air of gentility. The flat is located on the lower ground floor level and there is a narrow set of stairs taking you down to the flat. Its only one flight of stairs so don't worry :) The flat itself is very bright as its arranged around a courtyard. The living room is as bright as the pictures show. There are two comfy couches and large dining table perfect for entertaining. Both bedrooms are dressed in luxury cotton linens and are extremely comfortable to sleep on. In the bathrooms you will find fluffy white towels, shampoo and shower gel. The flat also has a hair dryer, washer, iron and ironing board. ## Access The entire apartment is available for the guests. ## Interaction Please keep all communications on the Airbnb inbox. I will arrange for someone to meet you at the flat. ## Neighborhood Being situated in the centre of Kensington and Chelsea, there is no shortage of things to do and see all within walking distance. Enjoy strolling around some of the richest architecture in the capital and discover the hidden, cobble stoned pastel painted mews streets nestled in amongst the grand Georgian terraces, or stop for peaceful breaks in the many square gardens and parks that make the area so unique. For the fashion conscious, hit the shops around neighbouring Knightsbridge just a leisurely 20-minute walk away where there's plenty of choice to suit the most high end or high street of budgets including the world famous Harrods and Harvey Nichols department stores. If antiques are more up your street, head to Kensington Church Street for its famous fine art and antique shops and barter yourself a real piece of history. Fancy a bit of peace and quiet? Hyde Park is only a 15-minute walk up the road so go for a stroll (or join the runners for the more ambitious!) and get lost amongst the Serpentine Gallery, Kensington Palace and the Albert memorial without forgetting to stop by the famous Royal Albert Hall on your way home. For those who don't fancy being on your feet, rent some Boris Bikes within the park and follow the cycle route to make sure you don't miss a thing. If hustle and bustle is more of your thing, head over to South Kensington for its trendy cafes, book shops and endless restaurants. In this area you'll find some of the capital's most popular museums, including the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum that are both sure to delight the kids as well as the big kids amongst you! Art and design lovers will adore the Royal Victoria & Albert museum next door. Once you've finished moseying through the themed rooms housing an eclectic mixture of objects and artefacts sure to please every interest, from British fashion through to ancient Middle Eastern furniture, take a break in the incredibly ornate cafe with a traditional English tea and scones complete with clotted cream and jam. We are spoilt for choice for eating out but our local recommendations would be Bombay Brasserie which is an upmarket Indian on Courtfield Road - pricey but fantastic! Or if you love meat try Macellaio, an authentic Italian restaurant on Brompton Road an 8 minute walk away. Try Fait Maison (our favourite breakfast/ afternoon tea place) or Paul for French brasserie/ breakfast and bakery goods. There’s plenty of cheap eats too including pizza, pasta, asian, indian and steak, and all the familiar restaurants on Gloucester Road. If you are coming to London for a party or special evening then a top tip is AER blow dry salon on the Brompton Road. ## Transit Getting around London from here couldn't be easier, with Gloucester Road tube station only a 4-minute walk away, and South Kensington and Earl's Court stations nearby. From all these stations you can take the Piccadilly, District or Circle lines which will take you directly to cool and colourful Notting Hill in 5 minutes, to Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament in 10 minutes, or to Buckingham Palace in 15 minutes. We would recommend taking a leisurely stroll to all of these places to soak up the beautiful architecture along the way. Soho and its many restaurants and great nightlife is only 15 minutes away by tube. ## Notes The flat is located on the lower ground floor and there is a narrow flight of stairs taking you to the flat. - Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property.
