The Space:
Bursting with character, this is a lovely home away from home that provides comfort and convenience. The open-plan living and dining rooms are light, bright and welcoming - with thoughtful homely touches that make it easy to settle in. Enjoy movie nights on the Smart TV and snuggle up on the sofa, or rustle up delicious dinners and feast around the dining table. This area is home to some of the country’s best seafood, or head down to one of the many local restaurants when you don’t fancy cooking.
Upstairs, find two well-sized bedrooms each with their own unique style. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, whilst the second bedroom has a double and a TV too. Both are equipped with ample storage space so you can unpack and really make yourself at home. On the landing, a handy study area with a desk has been created - ideal for those on a working holiday! The house is located in North Prospect - a leafy suburb on the outskirts of Plymouth. You’re still just a 10-minute drive to the city centre, but ideally only a stone’s throw from the Tamar Bridge. The Torpoint Ferry terminal is only a 5-minute drive, so it’s easy to pick up and explore parts of the River Tamar - whether it’s Torpoint, Wilcove or Anthony’s Passage.
Plymouth is known as Britain's "ocean city"- home to breath-taking views with plenty to see and do. In the centre of town, you will find Drake Circus, the large shopping centre. Whilst further south you will discover Plymouth Hoe. With stunning views, it’s the perfect place to spend a sunny day, enjoying a picnic on the grass or taking a dip in the art deco Tinside Lido (open during the summer months). Hoe Park or central Promenade are home to the iconic Smeaton's Tower lighthouse, which stands at 72 foot high and offers some of the most incredible views of the city and sea.
If you'd like to mix your time in the city with some time out, it's easy to head to National Trust's Saltram. The beautiful Georgian house is just a 15 minute drive away, and is surrounded by acres of pretty grounds that make for lovely walking! In 25 minutes drive, you can also be at Bovisand Beach: a real gem. Located within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it is popular with locals, families and walkers. Just across the water, you will find the beautiful area of Torpoint with its wonderful beaches. Backed by an exquisite country park, Barn Pool beach is a great spot to while away the day. Getting Around:
We would recommend bringing a car for your stay as there is so much to explore in the local area. That said, there is a train station in central Plymouth, which is easy to access by public transport or taxi.
