This lovely cottage is situated in the small, rural hamlet of Bowcombe within the Bowcombe Valley – designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It lies between Shorwell and Carisbrooke, with its superb medieval castle. Just a short drive away, both villages feature great pubs serving home-cooked food, while the lovely small bays and coves of the southwest of the island are nearby. Closest is Brighstone beach, just a short drive away, while the larger resorts of Ventnor and Shanklin are not much further. The Bowcombe Valley is a lovely walking area – several footpaths can be picked up close to the cottage, and there is easy access to the Tennyson and Shepherds trails.
