Summary: We booked 2 rooms, the first was ready when we arrived a little early for check & having explained we would be back late that evening I was told they would leave some notes and our 2nd room key would be ready. Unfortunately that wasn't what happended when we returned and a wait of almost 30 minutes ensued until the room key was provided. The rooms were very clean but he mattresses were very poor and only 1 pillow per person was not good. It is also worth noting the hotel is a steep incline accessed via a trading estate. We were given free coffee on checkout as recompense for the check in th night before as the delays were due to a new member of staff, unfortunately the coffee was as unimpressive as the mattresses. Overall this hotel is reasonable value for money but needs an overhaul to bring it up to modern standards and skimping on things like pillows does nothing to help.
