The Victorian Wing cottage at Stockham Farm is the award-winning (2021) beautifully refurbished and spacious wing of a traditional period Exmoor farmhouse. With a large sitting room with inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove, the cottage is full of period features and is dog-friendly. The two luxury bedrooms have beautiful views across the Exmoor countryside, and the kitchen/breakfast room has all modern appliances and a view of the Orchard Garden, exclusively used by guests during their stay; with outdoor furniture, a bbq and sensational distant views. Totally self-contained with its own large front door and porch, the Victorian Wing cottage can be found at Stockham Farm Exmoor, less than a mile and a half from the idyllic small moorland town of Dulverton, with its excellent shops, pubs and restaurants.
There are two cottages at Stockham Farm, both with sensational views from all windows across the Exmoor countryside and the Exe Valley. The Piggery cottage (sleeping up to 6) is a former traditional Exmoor stone barn that has been refurbished to an extremely high standard, with original features, oak beams and quirky elements in every room, plus underfloor heating. It has three large bedrooms; two on the ground floor (one twin and one kingsize) which share a shower room with a large walk in shower, and one upstairs (kingsize bed) with an adjacent bathroom. On the ground floor you will also find a large sitting/dining room with a gas-fired woodburning stove, as well as a large fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine.
The Victorian Wing cottage (sleeping up to 4) is the beautifully refurbished and spacious wing of a traditional period Exmoor farmhouse. Completely self-contained, the cottage has the grand front door and porch leading into the large sitting-room which has underfloor heating, as well as a fabulous inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove. The fully fitted kitchen/breakfast room also has a dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has a kingsize bed; the other a superking size bed that can be changed into full size twin beds if requested. The bathroom features a powerful shower over the bath.
The cottages have been beautifully and sympathetically decorated - no expense has been spared to create a luxury home from home, with their own exclusive gardens with tables, chairs, BBQs and loungers.
We have excellent WiFi at Stockham Farm and each of the bedrooms has a USB charging point beside the bed. Both cottages have a metered electric car charging point outside too.
