Ty'r Heddlu - translated simply as 'Police House' - is the former old police station house situated near to Aberdaron, the village on the tip of the Llŷn Peninsula. Aberdaron is known for its wonderful beaches and coves, the area also offers spectacular walking and the possibility of a day trip to nearby Bardsey Island and the cottage which sleeps up to 8 people is in prime position to take full advantage of everything the local area has to offer.
With spectacular mountains and distance coastline as a backdrop, Ty'r Heddlu sits in a wonderful location just outside Aberdaron, and set out over two floors, and has 4 bedrooms that sleep up to 8 people. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms that have double beds, and third bedroom which have bunk beds, perfect for children. There is also a separate travel cot available for an additional infant. Finishing off the upstairs is the family bathroom with bathtub and overhead shower, washbasin and toilet.
Downstairs, a fourth bedroom with twin beds sits just off the main lounge and living space, with a TV and clothing storage. A large open fire place takes centre stage in the living room that is closed off by internal doors, but which can easily become an open-plan lounge-diner. Comfy sofas, seating and a TV complete the room. Down the corridor, leads to a standalone WC and onto the main kitchen and additional dining space in a conservatory setting, with large panoramic windows which overlook the wonderful garden.
The cottage has an array of facilities including WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, freezer, DVD and large garden. From a heating perspective, there are storage or convector heaters in all rooms. Up to 3 well-behaved dogs are welcome at no additional cost, but beware that the garden is not fully enclosed.

Aberdaron itself is a wonderful place to visit and an even better one to stay. It is the land's end at its most idyllic. This fishing village was once the last stop for pilgrims on the way to Ynys Enlli, the 'Isle of 20,000 Saints' - otherwise known as Bardsey Island - which is now a National Nature Reserve renowned internationally for its birdlife and a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Aberdaron Beach is a mile long sandy bay at the end of the Llŷn Peninsula and lies within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Aberdaron has local cafes, restaurants and a sailing club. The village hosts an annual sailing regatta and coastal heritage is celebrated in the popular Llŷn Coastal Festival.
