Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location is very good - easy to get to from the M6 but far enough away from roads and railways that you don't get bothered by noise. Very peaceful location - no noisy neighbours. Well equipped lodge with all the facilities that we needed for a week's stay. Close to Carnforth and several supermarkets, and close to local pubs for eating out. Good walking all around this area. We'd definitely recommend it to anyone.

Negative: Nothing that we didn't like. We had exceptionally sunny and warm weather, so it gets warm inside the lodge, but the site is very peaceful so we could open windows and doors and let cooler air in. Not a problem.

Summary: A great base for anyone visiting northern Lancashire, the western Dales or the Lake District.
