This Victorian town house is situated in the beautiful coastal town in Whitby, just a 10 minute walk from the harbour and the many attractions in this glorious little town.. Ground Floor:

Kitchen: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.. First Floor:

Bathroom: With free-standing bath and toilet.. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. . Small enclosed yard with patio. No smoking.. Lavender House is a welcoming, charming property with some beautiful original features, including the feature fireplaces as well as the leaded stained glass window in the entrance. Stepping inside there is a cosy living room with a suede two-piece sofa suite around the TV, with large bay windows bathing the room in light. There is a dining room at the rear of the property with a separate galley kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a master king bedroom with a shower, plus a twin bedroom. There is a family bathroom with an original cast iron free standing bath, where you can unwind with a long indulgent soak after a busy day of exploring. The Jurassic coastline in Yorkshire which is made up of sandy beaches, rugged cliff tops as well as scenic coves and bays, is one of the most beautiful destinations in the UK. This property is the perfect base to explore the many sites and attractions nearby. Whitby is the ’jewel in the crown’ on the Yorkshire coast, drawing visitors from around the world each year. This town house is just a short walk away from the harbour and the array of cafés, restaurants and independent shops. Whitby is a proud seafaring town, you can find out more at the museums or even first hand up at the abbey ruins.
Walk through the whale bone archway on the West Cliff or visit the shipwreck on Saltwick bay and look up into the cliffs to spot the smugglers’ tunnels. For those who wish to experience the wonders of this inspiring area, why not take a long, lazy walk amid the scenic beauty of the North York Moors National Park, which can be accessed by the heritage steam train winding its way through the rolling hills of heather. You can also explore quaint coastal villages such as Robin Hood’s Bay, Staithes or Runswick Bay. Take in the sights along the seafront at Filey, Scarborough or Saltburn. And if you’re a history buff, take a trip into York to soak up the culture brought by both the Romans and the Vikings. Closer to home, you are just a leisurely stroll away from the many attractions the popular seaside town of Whitby has to offer, including the long golden stretch of sandy beach, the 199 steps up to the St Mary’s Church perched on the cliff top, the boat trips and the freshly caught fish and seafood. Your well behaved dogs are welcome to join you on your stay, this is a great area for dog walks, with lots of dog friendly cafés and pubs and even a dog bakery!
