Go seal spotting at Blakeney Point (20 miles) or head off down a trail at Pensthorpe Natural Park (14 miles) before heading back to base to be welcomed by homely interiors and soft lighting.
The cottage, which has a delightful traditional Norfolk winder staircase, is cosy and inviting with an open-plan style. Beamed ceilings, comfortable furniture and neutral decor in the lounge beckon you to sink into the sofa in front of the wood burner, as you watch your favourite show on the smart TV or chat about your day. Cook a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day in the contemporary kitchen and eat at the breakfast bar before going off on an adventure. Both en-suite bedrooms have a stylish, country-cottage atmosphere; taller guests might prefer the first-floor bedroom with more headroom in both the bedroom and en-suite. Outside, the secluded garden is a wonderful spot to laze in the sun and listen to the wildlife.
