Within a 20-minute walk or 3-minute drive you have the beach of Dunster which is dog friendly all year round. Jump on the best Somerset steam railway from Dunster Station and spend the day merrily chugging along the Somerset Coast and countryside to Bishops Lydeard. The larger seaside resort of Minehead is less than a 5 minutes’ drive and has the usual mix of shops, bars, restaurants and beach, as well as large supermarkets. For the walker among you, head to Exmoor and explore the myriad of Quintessential Somerset villages and tearooms with winding rivers and stunning views to behold. Beach 1 mile.
