Tucked away in the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the owner’s working sheep farm with stunning panoramic views across the Vale of Ancholme and on to Lincoln Cathedral. The Viking Way passes through the farm which walkers will enjoy and with excellent cycle routes as well from the door, this is a great location for those wishing to explore on foot or bike. Nearby are the market towns of Louth and Market Rasen, also well known for its race course, as well as the historic city of Lincoln about 30 minutes drive away famous for its cathedral and castle. There is a trout fishing lake available to guests on our standard day ticket rates and livery for horses is also available, so why not bring your horse along and have a ride along the Lindsey Trail.
The nearby village of Tealby has a popular thatched pub for food and drink with Market Rasen offering a good selection of shops, restaurants and pubs to enjoy as well as the train station for a day out in Lincoln. A day out on the east coast with the traditional seaside resorts of Skegness, Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe are about 45 minutes away. The cottage itself offers spacious accommodation with each bedroom having its own bath or shower room and lovely views await you even from the hot tub on the patio where there is also a gas barbecue for al fresco dining. Beach 16¾ miles. Shop 4½ miles, pub and restaurant 2¾ miles.
