The wow-factor starts the moment you step into the double-height entrance hall – which has exposed beams, carved columns and a flagstone floor – and follows through to the spacious sitting room where doors on either side give access to the gardens and allow in lots of natural light. Stretch out on the sofas, watch TV or simply catch up with friends and family; your holiday here can be as busy or laid-back as you choose. The kitchen is at the heart of every country home and the one here is sure to be the centre of much activity; there’s an electric Aga to inspire the cooks in your party (private catering can be arranged as an alternative) plus a wine cooler fridge and Gaggia bean-to-cup coffee machine for refreshments to suit every taste. Or perhaps if you enjoy spending your time out on the golf course, visit Dunston Hall for a 18 hole course, or Barnham Broom where they have 2, 18 hole courses to play.
