The spacious living/dining room has exposed beams and a warming wood burner for cooler evenings. The kitchen/breakfast room is the perfect place to enjoy a hearty breakfast. Up half a flight of stairs and you will find a separate galleried area, with books, maps and seating. It is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet! French doors open out onto the lawned garden at the rear. Outside the terraced garden is fully enclosed, lawned with picnic table and barbecue to eat alfresco in the warmer weather.

Picturesque Aysgarth Falls and Castle Bolton are nearby, and the market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are a short drive away. The Forbidden Corner in Middleham, a quirky venue with its labyrinth of caves, folly and underground caverns, is 13 miles away, and is hugely popular with families. The historic town of Richmond, famed for its castle, Georgian theatre, riverside walks and abundance of independent shops and tea rooms, is around a 30-minute drive.
