Positive: So many positives about this cottage. Beautifully decorated with high end quality furniture and appliances. Gorgeous crisp linen on the comfortable beds. Lovely open plan kitchen and dining area which was a great space for chilling out together. Plenty of room for our two families. A lovely outdoor space which was great for the kids to run around in. Ample parking for our two families. We brought our bikes so the carport was a great space to keep them over night. A lovely and quiet area. There is a Co-op about a 10 minute walk away, which was handy. As we visited in October, we bought some wood and lit the log burner each evening, which was a lovely addition.

Negative: The oven and the fridge are quite small which was fine, but just worth planning for. There were no instructions of what to do in terms of recycling. After I booked, I received a message to say that there were two security cameras at the cottage but the purpose of these were for safety as the cottage is empty for periods of time. During our stay we had a friend who lives locally visit us with his dog. I received a message to say that as we had a dog at the property, we needed to pay an additional £40, which I paid immediately. This highlighted to us that the cameras were being checked during our stay. Our friend didn’t visit until day 2 which suggests that the cameras were probably being checked multiple times. This felt invasive. This is the reason for the property not receiving a 10 from us as other than this, the property was great.
