Positive: The host Wendy was absolutely amazing at making sure myself and my partner were comfortable and happy! The cottage is so nice, big and spacious. It was so quiet and relaxing. Just me and my partner stayed but it’s definitely equipped for a small family too. We stayed here as a good base for some mountain hikes and to visit the lakes. Parking for Scafell Pike was approximately a 30 min drive. The Horse Heather was put in the small field in front of the cottage during the day and you can see the cows from the patio area & bedroom windows. Both the cats would greet us everyday too. The property is also very close to St Bees Beach, or you can drive a little longer to some sandy beaches. Beautiful countryside views from the front room looking out the windows. Utility room has a washing machine and airer to hang clothes. The bed was so comfortable!! I never sleep well when I’m away but every night I fell asleep almost instantly. We never had any issues during our stay, however, Wendy was so lovely that I’m sure if we did, she would find a resolution. I would 100% recommend & me and my partner will definitely book this property again.
