Positive: What a lovely, homely, oh so welcoming little cottage. It was so genuinely homely and cosy. From the moment we arrived on the driveway, it felt as if the cottage was welcoming us in and encouraging us inside to relax and unwind. Yes the old fashioned staircase was a challenge, but you know what, it didn't seem to matter one bit as we felt so comfortable being there it added to the authentic charm of the place. We felt really safe and looked after. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, firm, but not too firm, also large too with very comfy duvets and blankets for extra added cosiness which was just perfect. I had the best night sleep I'd had in years in the pine double/king size in the back bedroom and morning came far too quickly as I didn't want to have to get up! It was also nice and warm and such a lovely place, by the end of our stay we didn't want to go home. It was also exceptionally clean throughout and the little extras's showed kind thought too thank you and were very much appreciated. And what a great location - literally took us 90 seconds to walk to to the first pub which was a really nice place and then another minute to walk on to the next one where we enjoyed a lovely evening meal and catered for us being GF!! How fantastic! Location was spot on and being adjacent to the garage meant we could get any essentials by simply crossing over the road! We truly relaxed at Megs Cottage which is not something I can say very often when staying away from home. The shower was great and a big bathroom and it was nice to make a meal in the cosy kitchen, it felt like a proper loving home and you could really feel the history. If we are ever in that area again we will certainly be back without any hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
