A short drive away, the 'wader spectacular' takes place at Snettisham RSPB reserve each winter. Titchwell RSPB Reserve and Holme Dunes Nature Reserve are bucket-list destinations for spotting spring and autumn migrations and seabird watching.
Docking is well served with a very welcoming pub, a restaurant run by a Michelin-star team, an excellent village shop, a fish and chip shop, and a doctor's surgery. The popular Georgian village of Burnham Market is a short drive away, as is HM the King's Sandringham estate, Norfolk Lavender in Heacham, Houghton Hall, and the classic Victorian seaside resort of Hunstanton.
