Summary: I had NO correspondence from the owner — only from VRBO and the property’s credit processing company. My family arrived from London near 9PM with no code, no key, and no way to get a hold of anyone (the number we had was a business that was closed and couldn’t receive voicemails). Tried to go through emails and texting any number we could find all no responses. Finally went to the pub down the street (Park Inn) and the bar owner helped track down a local who happened to know the code. It took over two hours of standing outside before we got the key code! The only upside were the friends we made at the pub that night when we bought rounds to celebrate getting inside. We NEVER heard from the property owner despite leaving messages with other emails and UK phone numbers they could contact us with. We had no internet password, and the TV was not working. Street side windows upstairs had a key broken off in it so you could not open those, making the upstairs incredibly hot and stuffy. There was one roll of toilet paper (for four people staying one week) — so first morning was getting essentials (it felt like Covid lockdown again!) I will happily admit the home is GORGEOUS. With clean and modern design and appliances, a wonderful location in central Mumbles on a very quiet street. The back garden is where we ate every meal and the grill/firepit was a nice treat. I would recommend staying there, but we didn’t get what we paid for because the owner was incommunicado!!!
